Lowell police ask judge to dismiss Shirley man’s civil-rights complaint
BOSTON — Attorneys representing Lowell police will ask a federal judge to dismiss an excessive-force lawsuit filed by a Shirley man who claimed he was was the victim of a 2008 road-rage incident but was roughed up by police at the scene.
