You need to get surgery!!! I have had 4 knee surgeries and I do Taekwondo as well for many years. Its tough but you have to get surgery.

watching this video scares me. I use to do taekwondo competitively and always snowboarded.
Now, i have cracks in my knees when I’m walking or doing planks. The area underneath my kneecap is really swollen and puffy. My knees hurt like hell when I run for more than 12 minutes. I can be standing up and just leaning towards one side of my body and my knee will all of a sudden hurt.
I went to my family doctor 3 times, and he told me a few weeks of rest will do.
It’s been 2 years now, it still hurts

Ha! You an me are in the same boat. I hurt my knee at the end of my sophomore year of college, and I’m class of ’09 too. But yeah, try duck walking. If duckwalking is very painful, then it is likely a meniscus. If not, it could be anything from tendonitis of some sort to knee maltracking causing patellofemoral syndrome. What’s helped me is a combination of stretching, strengthening, and foam rolling every muscle and tissue that feeds into the knees and lower body.

@shellshoc6789 OK Before anything please PLEASE DO NOT get a shot of the so called Cortisone Shot in your knee. If you can get an MRI of your knee and also look for a second opinion from another doctor. You might have a simple irritation behind your knee cap. If you most have surgery, ask your doctor if your meniscus should be completely removed……I wouldn’t do it…..but that just me. Good luck and I hope your injury is nothing serious.

it is possible for it to heal without surgery but if not you MUST go to physiotherapy because it may dislocate again in the futer.
