Surgery or prednisone injections. You need to see a doctor. It won’t just go away.

The shooting pains are because it is your siatic nerve. Its in the top of your butt. See a massage therapist and have your honey duplicate what she does.

You can’t “get rid” of a pinched nerve. You really need to see your doctor about this. It could be a strain or something serious.

Simply put. The pinched nerve is a regular occurance in most people due to not streching properly during the day. You should really streach several times daily in various ways.
Try cat streches in the morning, lunch and dinner for five minutes.
Try reaching as high as you can with one hand at a time in alternating fashion.
All streches do is provide more room between the tendants and the muscle, allowing the nerve to move and rotate naturally.
We tend to have liited movement when it comes to everyday activity, so loosen up and stretch a bit. Don’t expect results in five minutes but rather give it two to three days.
It has taken several days to compress and shrink the area, so give it time to expand again. Another fine tool and excersise machine is the upside down bed, that hangs you inverted for several minutes at a time. This stretches out the vertibrae at the back of your neck and lower back.
Have a good day.

it really depends on how it was injured to how serious as to what treatment to provide. I have bulging disks from L2-S1, mainly L5-S1. At first the doctors thought it was a pinched nerve and after 9 MONTHS of treatment they have no idea what it is. I have done everything from therapy, chiropractor, acupuncture, Epidural Injection into the spine and now they want me to have a Sacroiliac Joint injection.
The best advice is to see your primary doctor and have them order tests and decide the proper treatment. Do some research and ask a lot of questions. Don’t depend on one doctor’s advice, get as many opinions as possible Unfortunately nothing is a guarantee because the back is so complex that it’s hard to pinpoint whats causing the pain. BEST OF LUCK
