I have a herniated disc in my lower back and i have x-rays that show this…do you think i could get something prescribed to help with the pain?

I lived in China where I got an MRI and found out I have a herniated disc. Does anyone know the best doctor to go see for that? I’ve heard go to a neurosurgeon and not an orthopedic surgeon. Also…anyone heard of going to a chiropractor? I have had the pain for over a year so I think I’m in the 10% that don’t get better after 6 months or less. Thanks!
