I’ve noticed that everything I come upon regarding an epidural also comes with a urinary catheter and I’m super not comfortable with that. I guess what I’m wondering is if a catheter is necessary no matter what during the labor process, or if it’s only accompanied by certain types of pain relief. Thanks so much.

It happens during the day on and off, but it’s really intense during the night while I am sleeping. I have tried lying on my side with a pillow between my knees, which eases the pain slightly but not entirely. I still find myself tossing and turning for more comfortable positions, which I don’t really manage to accomplish. Any suggestions?

I am having pain in my lower back. When I stand, or roll over (if I had been lying down) my lower back pops. Any suggestions?
