Pain is incredibly debilitating. It takes over your whole life.
But back pain seems to be the worst, especially lower back pain. Perhaps that’s because your back supports you in everything you do, so pain there permeates everywhere.
Whatever the reason, you need to do something to manage life on a day to day basis.
Analgaesics and pain killers may (or may not) help with the pain, but they don’t do your liver a lot of good.
So what are the alternatives?
Surgery sounds risky and expensive.
Let’s look at what you’re not being told. Put your belief system on hold for a moment, while you explore a possibility.
One of the symptoms that occur for a lot of back pain sufferers is the pain on the slightest movement. Lying down in bed, absolutely motionless, provides the most relief.
Lying on your back, and so putting pressure on it, also affords you some relief.
But you can’t live like that.
The origin of your pain may have been over straining your back, or even an injury.
But one thing for sure is that the pain makes you irritable, if not down right angry.
This is not uncommon. Pain tends to shorten your fuse. But you find your family avoid you like the plague, which is just as you want it.
If any of this seems to fit what you have, then you’re in luck.
As I say, suspend your belief system. If you get relief, who cares where it comes from, as long as it was ethically obtained?
The homeopathic remedy Bryonia has an affinity with any pain which is much worse for the slightest movement of the offending part. Lower back pain seems to fit it to a T, although any back pain, with the same symptoms, is likely to get relief.
So, to recap, for Bryonia to be suitable for your lower back pain, you need to have the following symptoms:
- pain which is much worse for any movement
- the pain is better while motionless
- the pain is easier with pressure applied
- the pain makes you irritable, even angry
Another, less important symptom for Bryonia to work for your lower back pain, is that you don’t like heat on it, the pain is better with cold applied, rather than heat.
Homoeopathic remedies can be obtained from most health shops, many pharmacies, practicing homeopaths and homeopathic pharmacies.
Depending on how long you have had your lower back pain will determine how long you need to take the remedy. But you should see an improvement with only a few doses. That will guide you.
It is possible, that this remedy will go a long way to resolve your pain, but not all the way.
This is when you need to consult with a homeopath.
