i just found out i have sciatica and I also have herniated disc I want to get pregnant is this a risk?

I was injured in a car accident in 2006 and found out i have herniated disc and I just recently found out I have sciatica.Now I have to have a discogram in a few weeks. I have been off birth control for 14 months and I want to have a baby. Should i wait to consider having a baby, if so how long and are there ways to help myslef get better so i have a healthy baby.
